Susu Harb

Susu Harb

Susu Harb is a Palestinian oil paint artist based in Kansas City, Missouri. A painter since childhood, Susu has spent her life using art as a powerful form of expression, translating emotion, memory, and heritage into vibrant, evocative works. While she also works as a pediatric nurse, painting remains her deepest calling.

Her parents were displaced from Palestine in 1967, and although she has never stepped foot on the land herself, the stories, history, and love for Palestine were deeply rooted in her upbringing. Her family’s unwavering pride in their identity has always inspired her to honor her roots through art.

Susu’s work is heavily influenced by the beauty, resilience, and pain of her homeland. Through rich textures and symbolic elements, she tells stories of longing, strength, and connection. Each brushstroke is a tribute to her people and a prayer for return. Her paintings often blend emotional landscapes with cultural motifs, exploring themes of resistance, hope, and belonging.

Susu hopes that one day, she’ll be able to walk the land she paints so often in her dreams.
